Holio II is a "rebuild"
We started with the wheeled motion base of Holio and added a
fully articulated sensor array. Essentially this is a test bed for sensor
technology. It has a video camera, a sharp IR distance sensor and an ultrasonic
sensor. It is driven and powered down a cable system - basically any serial
cable will work. The 9 volt battery powers the PonTech servo controller board as
servo activation causes it to reset frequently. (This is very typical with this
controller. The designers did a smart thing and put in a cutable foil to
separate the power supplies but it seems like some well placed diodes and a
capacitor would save us used some trouble.)
